Managing BFMC data

Learn how to add and archive BFMC data.

You store Bush Fire Management Committee (BFMC) data (boundary file and code) in RMP Settings. You can search for a BFMC by its name or code.

A BFMC code is a unique two-letter code. In RMP Sandbox, codes can be 3-5 characters long.


Add a BFMC

  1. On the RMP side navigation, click Settings.

  2. Under Jurisdictions, click BFMCs.

  3. Click Add BFMC

  4. Add the BFMC name and code.

  5. Upload the BFMC boundary file.

    Files can be in the following formats: .ZIP of a shapefile of a shapefile of shapefile, .KML, or .KMZ.

  6. Click Next to review your BFMC details.

  7. (Optional) To edit any of the BFMC details, click Back.

  8. When you are satisfied with the details of your BFMC, click Add BFMC.


Edit a BFMC

When you archive a BFMC, you cannot unarchive it or reuse its code for a new BFMC.

  1. On the RMP side navigation, click Settings.

  2. Under Jurisdictions, click BFMCs.

  3. Find the BFMC you want to archive, and click Archive BFMC.

  4. If you want to proceed with archiving the BFMC, click Confirm.
