Bush Fire Weather Regions are polygons that divide the state into sections to represent weather across an area for risk modelling. They may not align with existing NSW weather boundaries.
The RMP uses Weather Regions in Statewide projects and the projects that reference the Statewide Snapshot (ITC & BRG projects).
Each Weather Region consists of:
The boundary of the weather region uploaded as .ZIP of a shapefile, .KML, or .KMZ (that you can view geospatially)
Weather streams uploaded either in a single XLSX file (containing point data) or in a pre-existing weather package (containing NetCDF or Point data)
Weather streams consist of an associated FDR, driver and stream name. An XLSX file with point data requires the following columns:
